Dear Publisher or Supplier,
The alternative bookshop is back! After years
of sad decline, now a new outlet for alternative, small press
publications is available: Alternative Bookshop Online (ABO).
Alternative Bookshop Online consists of
a website listing in over thirty different subject categories
a wide range of books and pamphlets that are not generally available
in most bookshops. Customers can select, order and pay for these
publications on-line. Orders are emailed to the suppliers who
directly despatch them to customers.
Alternative Bookshop Online retains only
30% of the publisher's recommended retail price in commission.
Also customers make a contribution towards postal charges -
£1.50 for a book and £0.35 for a pamphlet in the
UK - which is passed on to the publisher. These terms are
much more favourable for publishers than those offered by other
booksellers.
Using Alternative Bookshop Online as a
distribution outlet with both national and international reach
would boost both your volume of sales and profit margins.
